Bake Sale PosterThe school took part in Friendship February in association with Special Olympics Ireland. We held Friendship week organised by our Student Council and they had lots of fun activities during the week. Monday was Valentines Day so every child went home with a treat bag. On Tuesday, the whole school made a friendship chain and played ‘Pass the Compliment’. On Wednesday, it was Good Deed Day and the children added any random acts of kindness to the friendship noticeboard. Thursday saw everyone making ‘Friendship Pie’ recipes and we all continued to practice our friendship song and dance for the week. On Friday, the school was closed because of the red weather warning. So we postponed our Bake sale until the following Wednesday when we raised €674 for Special Olympics Ireland. We also recorded our song’ Count On Me’ and our dance ‘The Sid Shuffle’.
